Does Edward Jones drug test?
Yes, Edward Jones drug tests all potential employees. The company uses a urinalysis test in most cases but may also test blood, saliva, or hair. Employees in Vermont have the right to request a blood test at the time of their urinalysis test.
Applicants will have a limited period after receiving an offer from the company and before final hiring, in which they must have their drug screening completed. The test is designed to identify Amphetamines/Methamphetamines, Barbiturates, Cocaine, Methadone, and Opiates.
Test results are forwarded to the company's medical review officer. If you test positive, you may compile a list of drugs ingested in the last thirty days and submit them to the MRO. Candidates in Iowa, Oklahoma, and Utah are able to submit this list at the time of testing and avoid having to wait for a positive result.
Certain prescription drugs may result in a positive test result, and those applying in Vermont will not have therapeutic levels of these drugs reported to the company MRO.
