No, Gap does not drug test potential hires and current employees in most cases, though those seeking to gain a position as a driver for Gap must submit to a drug screening in order to be considered eligible for employment.
The company uses a urine test to screen driver candidates for drugs, alcohol, and other substances. This is performed at a third-party medical facility of the company's choosing. The drug test used by their third-party partner medical facility is a standardized five-panel urine test. This can detect the five most commonly abused drugs and substances:
- Cannabis
- Cocaine
- Opiates
- Amphetamine
- PCP
It is also important to note that the company does reserve the right to request a drug screen of current employees in any of the following scenarios:
