The company tests both employees and designated supplier personnel. Individuals are randomly chosen to be tested by a computer. At any given time, 5% of prospective hires and DSP candidates will have been subject to drug tests. DSP workers are tested at the expense of their employers. All tests are conducted at a SAMHSA-certified lab.
The company uses a urine test, and the substances tested for are amphetamines, cocaine, opiates, and PCP. This pre-employment screening does not test for cannabis. If the initial test is positive, a confirmation test is required. All positive results are reviewed by a medical review officer.
