Does PFG drug test?

PFG employees who work in distribution or with heavy machinery are also tested randomly, post-accident, and if there is reasonable suspicion. This testing is also done by a third-party company and uses the same 6-panel drug test. In addition, they may also use a DOT-approved breathalyzer test to measure a driver's blood alcohol level.

According to PFG's Drug- And Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy:

• You are not allowed to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs when you report to work, while you are at work, or while you are representing the Company.
• Let your supervisor know right away of any work restrictions if you are taking an over-the-counter or prescription drug (including medical marijuana) that is likely to impact your performance.
• If there is a reasonable suspicion... the Company may conduct a search of an associate's personal property or other property that the associate has brought onto Company premises or used for a work-related purpose.
• Prior to and as a condition of employment, you are required to sign a release indicating that if you are offered employment, you are willing to take a drug test. You might need to take this test within 24 hours of receiving a job offer. If you do not get a negative result on the test, the offer may be rescinded.

  Although PFG sells cigarettes and other tobacco products, the company has a strict tobacco-free policy that prohibits employees from using these products while on duty. Most locations, however, do have designated smoking areas outside the building where employees can smoke during their breaks.
