Does Sally's drug test?
No, Sally's does not drug test. Although the application mentions that Sally's conducts drug tests during the hiring process, we were unable to find any reports from past or current employees indicating that they were required to undergo drug testing, except for those applying for roles in distribution, warehouse, or security.
Some positions at Sally's do require a drug test based on the nature of the work, including receiving, shipping, and warehouse roles. In these cases, an employee is subject to DOT drug testing for THC, cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methadone, phencyclidine (PCP), and alcohol.
From our research, we found that for positions such as internal auditor or a security position, employees report being asked to take a drug test. However, most retail store positions, such as sales associate, stocker, and manager did not report being asked to take a drug test.
While Sally's does not have any specific rules regarding their policy on tobacco, employees are not allowed to smoke regular cigarettes, vapes, or use other tobacco products while on duty. For regular cigarettes, they ask employees not to smoke while in uniform.
