How are sales managers paid?

Sales managers typically are paid a standard yearly salary with a commission or performance-based bonus. This is because a sales manager has a stake in achieving sales goals and ensures that the sales team performs at their best.

Sales managers have many responsibilities within sales that influence how they are paid. They oversee sales associates and retail managers within the company and work with them to set specific sales targets and goals and assist with training and quality control procedures.
