How do staffing agencies work?

By Kate Swindlehurst - Apr. 2, 2023

Staffing agencies work by matching employers to employees. They help to connect people with jobs. Their objective is to fill clients' open spots and not necessarily help all candidates find work. Companies often hire them to scout and find appropriately prepared and qualified candidates.

Although this may seem similar to the function of recruiters, it is different. Both of them do seek to acquire talent for specific positions. But, in general, recruiters are looking for full-time employees, and staffing agencies provide temporary workers.
