How do you describe quality control on a resume?

For example, "inspected and approved incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials" or "documented inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarized re-work and waste, and input data into a quality assurance database."

Providing such a detailed explanation of your role and the knowledge and skills you developed will show that you have significant professional experience in the quality assurance industry, making your resume stand out.

If you do not yet have much professional quality control experience, then make sure you focus on soft skills and relevant personal traits and characteristics. While not as good as direct experience, showing your fit for a role may help you get an interview for a quality control position.
