You list skills on a functional resume in several ways by showcasing them in the profile summary, touching on them in your experience, and listing them separately in a skills section. The key to putting functional skills on a resume is to focus it around a few core skills and provide real-world examples of specific responsibilities and achievements.
In general, analyst resumes focus on evaluation and critical-thinking skills, as well as traits that are universally desired in the business world, such as communication, presentation, leadership, and administrative abilities. The first place to touch on your functional skills is in your profile summary. A profile summary is a concise, one to three sentence statement that touches on who you are as a candidate and what you bring to the table.
For example, "Driven, compassionate Functional Analyst with over five years of experience in billing and collections systems (revenue cycles). Accountable and responsible with a strong focus on the customer experience."
Similar to the profile summary, you'll want to convey your skills using real-world examples and achievements, as well as quantifiable measurements of success. Don't forget to drive home your abilities with an easy-to-see list of your best hard and soft skills.
