How do you write accounting skills on a resume?

Accounting positions, especially junior positions, tend to focus on the type of hard skills a candidate has over soft skills.

A mid-career accountant looking to move into a managerial accounting role should focus more on soft skills. At this point in the game, you have proven yourself as an accountant. Therefore, the resume should focus more on soft skills such as interpersonal skills, leadership skills, management skills, people skills, teamwork skills, and time management skills, to name a few.

When covering accounting skills on your resume, be sure to provide hard data and real-world examples as you highlight these hard and soft skills as they are related to accounting. Any examples of times you were able to increase profits, reduce cost, or improve efficiency shows that you have demonstrated the skills needed to be an effective accountant.
