How does Credit Karma make money?

Credit Karma makes money through commissions and advertisements. Every time a user makes a purchase on a service or product that Credit Karma recommends, they make a commission off of that purchase.

Credit Karma uses the information that it is given about the specific user to then make personalized recommendations on products such as credit cards. If the user purchases that credit card or whatever financial product is recommended, Credit Karma is then given money from the product's company as a commission.
