How long after a job interview should you hear back?

You should typically hear back one to two weeks after a job interview. However, a longer wait after an interview is not bad in and of itself. There may be circumstances where it takes longer than normal, and you can often ask at the end of the interview what you should expect for the timeline of hearing back with a decision.

Sometimes, a recruiter or team lets you know that it is going to take longer than normal to get back to you. In this case, you can wait a few more weeks, but after that, you should feel free to send an email to check in and get an update from the company. If you do not hear anything back, it is probably a good idea to continue looking for different opportunities.
