It takes one year or less to become a helper. That is the time it takes to learn specific helper skills, but does not account for time spent in formal education.
There are certain skills that you need to obtain in order to become a successful helper. Some of the most common skills are listed below. Along with each skill, we provide an actual example of how someone included the skill on their resume:
Safety Procedures -- Well-versed on safety procedures for construction sites and responsible for delivery of departmental safety reviews.
Positive Attitude -- Assisted costumers/cashier/ kept positive attitude during holiday season/ customer service
Safety Rules -- Followed procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in high stress environments
Communication -- Worked at Sun Land Refinery, Southwest contractors, PGE facility installing tubing and at communication towers installing grounding
Construction Sites -- Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.receive instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
The OSHA Safety Certificate certification is most common among Helpers. This certification is awarded by the Delaware Technical Community College. To become a certified Helper with OSHA Safety Certificate , You don't need to pass the exam. This certificate requires more than two years of work experience. No renewal for certification, if you earn it once it is valid all time.
