How long does it take to become a Quality Control Inspector?

1. Magnetic Particle -- Machine Operator/Quality Control Inspector Operated CNC and Manual Milling Machines Magnetic Particle Inspector Shipping/Receiving Fork Lift Operator

2. Quality Products -- Perform final mechanical and visual inspection on multiple product lines while coordinating with engineers and supervisors to ensure quality products.

3. Micrometers -- Measured dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments including rulers, calipers, gauges and micrometers.

4. Quality Standards -- Report the findings to Process Technicians, and Manufacturing Manager as required to ensure conformity of company engineering and quality standards.

5. Safety Standards -- Comply with Environment and Food Safety Standards as prescribed in plant policies/programs within Department responsibilities.

The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is most common among Quality Control Inspectors. This certification is awarded by the American Welding Society. This certification is great to have as it shows an improvement in your competency to perform your role. You can earn this certification at the beginning of your career, as it often doesn't require a minimum education level and work experience. To become a certified Quality Control Inspector with Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), You need to pass the exam. This certificate requires more than two years of work experience. Renew certification every 3 year.
