This question is about architect education.
Architecture school is between five and seven years in length at most schools in the United States.
In order to become a licensed architect, most students must first earn a professional degree with a focus on architecture. A professional degree comes from an accredited degree program that is validated by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
In general, accredited NAAB degrees include either a five-year undergraduate degree in architecture or a three-year graduate degree in architecture.
Students that are anxious to get out in the field as an architect may choose to take a four-year undergraduate architecture degree that is not accredited by NAAB. However, this option does not allow them to pursue an architectural license.
