How long is Walmart's orientation?

Walmart employees are paid their usual wage during orientation and training sessions.

Walmart will usually supply you with a list of what to bring to your orientation; however, you should plan to bring:

• Your identification card

• Your driver's license or state identification card

• Your birth certificate or social security card

• Your payment/direct deposit information

At the Walmart orientation, you will be given a tour of the store to familiarize yourself with the location of all of the departments as well as fire exits and alarms. You will learn about workplace safety, company culture, and policies and get trained to provide excellent customer service and exceptional value to the Walmart store.

Walmart training is based on a front-line first philosophy which means they will provide their employees with everything they need to be successful on the sales floor.

There is usually an additional orientation that will take place based on the department that you are placed in. The duration of this orientation process will be determined by HR and the department's preferences and usually takes place within two weeks of your employee orientation session.
