A minor in Texas can work no more than 8 hours in a day and no more than 40 hours in a week. During the school week of Monday to Friday, minors in Texas can not work more than 3 hours per day and 18 hours total for the week.

Minors in Texas are also only allowed to work between the times of 7 am and 7 pm during the school year. In Texas, a working minor can be as young as 14 years old. In some cases, they may need to obtain a work permit.

Minors in Texas are not permitted to work during school hours; however, on holidays and other days in which a school may be closed, minors can work 8 hours days.
