This question is about what a forensic scientist does.

How many hours do forensic scientists work?

By Kate Swindlehurst - Mar. 13, 2023

On average, forensic scientists work a 40-hour work week. This is pretty typical for a research career, but unlike other research careers, forensic scientists often work overtime and on weekends to finish various projects as needed.

Working extra time is not done constantly but is generally done around busy times for forensic scientists, such as when there is a close deadline or an especially important client or presentation for which the scientist needs extra time to prepare.
