This question is about what a radiologist does.

How many hours does a radiologist work?

By Zippia Team - Dec. 9, 2022

Most radiologists work the normal hours of a physician, so they have a 40-hour work week. Most radiologists work shifts that are either 8 hours or 12 hours long. These shifts can be during the daytime, evening, or overnight depending on the location of where they work and their specific availability.

If a radiologist works 8-hour shifts, they often work 5 shifts on and then have two days off. In clinics, these days are generally Monday thru Friday, but radiologists working in hospitals or emergency settings may work weekends as well and have weekdays as their days off. For 12-hour shifts, they work 3 days a week.
