In the Air Force, Family Separation Allowance (FSA), often called separation pay, is $250 monthly. This is prorated at $8.33 per day if a period is less than a month.

FSA is for dependents of Air Force members who cannot live with the member or near the permanent duty station because of circumstances. This pay is meant to help with any costs of finding temporary living situations for these dependents.
