How to become a certified medical assistant without going to school

In most states, you do not need to hold certification to become a medical assistant, and in some cases, you can become certified without completing a program if you have sufficient work experience. However, it may be difficult to initially find a position without certification.

In most cases, certification will require completing a program before you can take the exam. However, you may be eligible to take the exam without having to go back to school.
