How to create a Zoom meeting link

By Justin Parker - Mar. 13, 2023

To create a Zoom meeting link, follow these steps:

  • Log into your Zoom account

  • Select the Schedule a meeting button on Zoom's homepage or the Meetings tab

  • Fill in the details for your Zoom meeting, including the date, time, and estimated duration of the meeting

  • Select your preferences for video and audio settings, and also choose any additional options you want to utilize, like the waiting room function or passcode protection for the Zoom meeting

  • Then select the Save button to create your Zoom meeting

  • When the Zoom meeting is saved, you can see a page dedicated to your meeting's details. Copy the Zoom meeting link from the Invite Attendees option. This enables you to share the link for your Zoom meeting with people via calendar invites, email, and other communication channels.

  • You can also customize your Zoom meeting link by selecting the Edit button next to the Zoom link and determining your custom link name.

After creating your Zoom meeting, you can share the link with your expected participants, and they can then join the Zoom meeting by clicking on the link or entering the Zoom meeting ID number and passcode (if you made one) into the Zoom website or app.
