Earn a degree, become licensed, and find an entry-level position to work for CPS. Licensing requirements vary state by state, so it is important to look into what is required where you live so that you can ensure you do exactly what is needed where you are at.

Typically, to work for CPS, you need to earn at least a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work or psychology. Many positions at CPS may also require you to complete a Master's in Social Work.

Once you have graduated, you can become a licensed clinical social worker. From there, you can find a position working at a CPS location and then you can use your education and background to help others in your community.
