How would you describe being a real estate agent on a resume?

The first place to describe yourself as a real estate agent is in the profile summary or objective. In one to four sentences, touch on who you are as a candidate, your specialty, and what you bring to the table.

For example, "Personable real estate consultant with 3+ years expertise in a middle-class, suburban environment. According to homeowner survey, achieved region-best client satisfaction rating (98.16%)."

Next, you're going to want to elaborate on the specific experiences in real estate. Focus on real-world achievements rather than just listing your experiences.

For example, "Reduced closing time by 17% through new software implementation."

If you are just starting your career as a real estate agent, focus on your training and any transferable skills you have from other jobs.

For example, maybe you worked at a law office helping to prepare documents such as deeds and leases. Or perhaps you had an office job where you helped maintain records and documentation related to all sales, returns, and revenue statements.
