No, being a lot associate at Home Depot is not hard. The primary responsibilities of a Home Depot lot associate are to help customers safely load their car and to return any loose carts or flatbeds.
Loading carts is the only thing you have to be on the ball on constantly. This includes being on your feet 6 to 7 hours a day, mostly outside, moving around. The job, in this sense, can get monotonous, but then again, you have the freedom to move around where the people are stuck within their department.
Depending on how busy the store is, that might take up all of your time. It's not unusual for a Home Depot lot associate to be pulled away to act as a spotter for people on the forklift or whatnot. If none of that is going on, there's always something to clean.
Unlike store associates at Home Depot, a lot associate is not expected to help answer customer questions and show them where products are. Most customer interactions for a lot associate occur when helping the customer load their car safely.
