Is pizza delivery a good job?
No, pizza delivery is not a good job. Unless you are someone just starting out in the workforce with a car and little to no experience, working as a pizza delivery can be a good job for those who enjoy driving and solitude. However, it is also a lot of wear and tear on your car, and not all pizza companies pay for gas.
In almost every state, pizza drivers make under minimum wage. Some Domino's franchises offer up to $.20 per gallon reimbursement to their drives; however, this is only done on a case-by-case basis. Other companies, such as Papa John's, pay their employees a mileage rate per delivery and base pay of $4.00 an hour.
