2. Drilling Engineer

   Drilling engineers work for organizations that are often multinational. These organizations produce and extract gas and oil. The drilling engineer is responsible for analyzing and maintaining the drilling wells and ensuring the safety of the employees.

   They are also often responsible for overseeing the staff in the oil rigs, problem-solving drilling equipment issues, and seeing that operations stay within the budget.

3. Oil Field Worker

   Oil field workers are usually considered entry-level positions in this field. They entail a lot of manual labor, such as building and maintaining the oil rigs. They also take part in the transport of tools and equipment.

   The oil field worker is also responsible for keeping the work area clear of dangers, including ensuring pipes are set and secure when on site.

4. Geologist

   Geologists in the oil and gas field work with other specialists to assess seismic activity. This allows them to get a better understanding of the gas and oil rocks that are under the surface of the Earth.
