What are the pros and cons of being a stripper?

Pros:

• You get a good income. Depending on where you work, you can bring in a week's worth of pay in one night. Some high-profile clubs with rich customers can fill your bank account in a matter of hours.

• You get to sleep in. Although it may seem trivial, many people like to sleep in. As a stripper, you work late hours into the night. Most clubs are not open early in the day, so your opportunity to sleep in is almost guaranteed. This is a great opportunity if you are not a morning person.

• You will maintain a healthy physique. Strippers are expected to have a specific level of figure and fitness. That being said, you are inclined to eat healthily and stay fit. Not to mention, those poles can make for a pretty vigorous workout.

Cons:

• There are bad influences. Often clubs, even the high-class ones, tend to have a way of entertaining with drugs and alcohol. Customers are known to ask you to join them. Be aware of these things and your surroundings while on the job.

• Opinions are often negative. No matter how much society has changed, it is still looked down on as a lesser profession to be a stripper. Many see this as a job in which the stripper thinks they need to use their body to get money and attention. Often strippers are slandered with name-calling and ill opinions from others.

• You can't choose your customers. You don't get to choose your customers. Whether you like it or not, it is your job to entertain them. You may encounter customers that you don't prefer their age, looks, or status, but you still have to entertain them.

Strippers can earn a good amount of money and stay fit while doing so. They can even enjoy the pleasure of sleeping in. However, they must be willing to endure societal opinion, the inability to choose their customers, and be able to handle the bad influences they may encounter.

The decision to be a stripper comes down to deciding if the money and the freedom are worth the disadvantages that follow the profession.
