What degree do you need to be a content creator?

You do not need a college degree to become a content creator. While not a requirement, most content creators do have a college degree in a relevant field of study. Content creators produce high-quality communications content for a variety of platforms, including internet articles and written publications.

Having a college degree in English, communication, journalism, or photography will provide you with an advantage when looking for employment. Nearly 50% of content creators have a degree in one of these fields.

While any college experience is helpful when looking for employment in the field of content creation, 77% of those working in the field have a bachelor's degree. Ten percent of content creators have an associate's degree and 8% have a master's. There are only about 3.5% of employed content creators without a college degree.
