The Aldi stores are typically very fast-paced work environments where you are assigned one of two main tasks: checking customers out at registers (main cashier or backup cashier) or doing curbside shopping.
The main cashier stays by the registers handling customer sales, cleaning the front of the store, and doing various tasks such as stocking the check lanes or removing empty boxes from nearby aisles.
The backup cashier assists the main cashier as needed, but will also stock, pull empty boxes from shopping aisles, answer customer questions, and do any other tasks such as cleaning.
