What does a typical day look like for a Surgeon?
A typical day for a surgeon is very busy. They usually wake up early in the morning and head to the hospital. They spend their day performing surgery and consulting with patients.
In between surgeries, they may have some time to eat and catch up on paperwork.
They usually work long hours and don't have much time for a personal life. It depends on the type of surgery, but generally, a surgeon will start their day by reviewing patient charts and test results. They may then meet with patients to discuss their surgery and answer any questions they have.
Next, the surgeon will scrub in and prepare for surgery. During surgery, they'll perform the procedure and monitor the patient's condition. On a daily basis, surgeons examine patients to obtain information on their medical condition and surgical risks. They prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatments and procedures.
