What does an asset protection specialist do?

An asset protection specialist is mostly in charge of helping a company prevent financial loss due to theft and fraud. They would also train other employees to prevent theft and fraud and ensure safety and environmental program compliance at their store(s).

An asset protection specialist is also expected to review security footage, file case reports with law enforcement, keep updated on security trends/methods, and inspect inventory.
