What grades do you need to become a civil engineer?

You don't need any specific grades to become a civil engineer. However, you do need to graduate with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. In addition, a graduate degree is typically necessary to get promoted or hired to senior positions in which you would manage other civil engineers.

Aspiring civil engineers would need to pass courses in maths, statistics, engineering mechanics and systems, and fluid dynamics. Cooperative programs, often referred to as co-ops, also provide civil engineering students with work experience while completing their degrees.
