What is a CAPM certification?

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is a credential offered through the Project Management Institution. This is an entry-level certification for project managers, although it can be useful at any stage in your career. It demonstrates fundamental knowledge and skills for success in project management.

To obtain certification, you must hold an associate's degree, or higher, or equivalent education. You also must complete 23 hours of coursework. There are many online courses that cover this and the cost starts at about $300. Then, you will need to register and take the exam which includes 150 questions with a three-hour time limit. The cost for the exam starts at $225.
