Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists (CAPS) hold certification that represents an understanding of the skills necessary for remodeling, specifically for home modifications for the aging-in-space.

Specifically, you learn how to modify someone's existing home to work for them so they will not need to move out to a care facility in their older age.

To become CAPS certified, you take a course that teaches how to remodel homes to make them liveable for elderly people. The course fees start at $279 for members. The fee for the exam starts at $75. CAPS certification must be renewed annually and costs $65.
