What is a good resume objective for a case manager?

The goal of a profile summary is to introduce your resume quickly and effectively, as well as brand yourself to the potential employer. As such, your case management resume profile should be no longer than two to four sentences in length. It sets the tone for the rest of the resume and should be located at the top of the resume just after your name and contact information.

We recommend starting each sentence with an action verb and trying to present a mixture of your specific credentials and proven success. After reading a case manager profile summary, you should be able to answer the following questions:

• Who is the case manager?

• What type of case manager are they, and what are they passionate about?

• Their areas of expertise and where they've been successful?

To get started, you should include important information such as the number of years of experience you have as a case manager and don't forget to add some key skills into the mix. For example, "Dependable case manager with over five years of experience with helping families, child services, mental health, and general social work."

A case manager profile summary should also mention what states you are licensed to work in and any other certifications you may have (e.g., LCSW and NYS certified).

Next, add any achievements or career highlights into the summary, if you can include real data to further support this even better. For example, "Saved over $75,000 by locating and implementing alternative social programs and government grants".

Finally, as a case manager, you can also touch on your immediate and future career goals. For example, "Seeking to build upon successful past experience to grow with NYCSSC as the new lead case manager."
