What is a sprint review?

By Roger Raber - May. 17, 2023

A sprint review is an assessment of the work conducted by the scrum team during a sprint period. In addition to the scrum team, key stakeholders are included in the sprint review, with various team members making presentations.

A sprint review, usually conducted on the last day of the sprint, is an opportunity to assess the progress made by the team during the two to four-week sprint. The review presentation typically lasts one hour per week of the sprint.

At the time of the review, any goals that have been set before the beginning of the sprint are assessed, with team members reviewing any impediments encountered during the sprint and progress made to reach the team's final goal.

This meeting review is conducted to get feedback and ensure collaboration. The primary discussion during a sprint review focuses on the continuation of progress and facilitation of overcoming any obstacles or setbacks.
