What is channel marketing?

Channel marketing is a marketing practice in which other parties, which could be other businesses or individuals, help to sell your product or service. Channel marketing can be used for a variety of reasons, such as needing specialization, or for smaller businesses that do not have their own complete marketing department.

A large part of channel marketing is the individuals that are referred to as channel marketing partners. These are people who help to sell the advantages of your product to customers. This can include people like affiliates, who are people not employed by that company but are paid to promote your product or service to individuals.
