Sometimes sensitivity training can be focused on particular issues, such as sexual harassment in the workplace, or discrimination against specific individuals or groups in a workplace setting.

However, it can also be practiced more broadly with the goal of enlightening attendees about how their behaviors, attitudes, and comments affect those working or living around them. Sensitivity training might also include discussions on many different issues, including but not limited to;

• Training on how individuals or groups can better cope and manage difficult personalities

• The improvement of emotional intelligence

• How to cope with workplace gossip
