What is the difference between a functional analyst and a business analyst?
The difference between a functional analyst and a business analyst is that while both help to improve a company's processes and procedures, a functional analyst focuses mainly on the technology, whereas a business analyst will look at the entire organization.

Functional analysts often will select which suggestion or solution to go with and work towards its implementation based on their expertise in their field, specific technology, domain, or industry.
Having the technical knowledge of software, functional analysts are expected to perform end-to-end tasks, from installation to troubleshooting errors within software.
