What is the dress code at Bergdorf Goodman?

Acceptable attire for Bergdorf Goodman's retail employees includes:

• Skirts or dresses that reach at least mid-thigh

• Professional slacks or pants that reach at least mid-calf

• Blouses or tops that fully cover the shoulders, unless a sweater or jacket is worn at all times

• Shirts with collars or turtlenecks

• Professional open-toed or open-heel (i.e., sling-backs) shoes

Anything else, such as jeans (except on Fridays, depending on location), shirts without collars, tennis shoes, low-cut tops or shirts that leave the shoulder and arms bare, or any tight fighting skirts or pants, is prohibited.

All employees must also maintain a clean appearance, with clothing free of rips or stains, and well-groomed hair.

Factory personnel, including management and administration must wear:

• Long pants/jeans, belted at the waistline at all times while on company property

• Long- or short-sleeved shirts that cover the torso (shoulders, chest and waistline)

• Steel- or composite-toed boots or shoes

• Z87-rated, clear/non-tinted safety glasses, and other required safety equipment

Factory employees with long hair past the shoulders must wear it tied back at all times. Employees in these roles are prohibited from wearing baggy pants, spandex, capris, or shorts, as well as sleeveless, tight-fitting, or revealing shirts, open-toed or heeled shoes, and all jewelry. Baseball caps are acceptable.

Bergdorf Goodman distribution personnel, such as branch managers, CSR, warehouse, drivers, and administration, are required to wear branch uniforms, consisting of company-issued black shirts with the logo, along with slacks, shoes, jackets and sweatshirts. Branch managers may also wear button-down, collared shirts if approved.
