What is the dress code at Jack in the Box?

By Zippia Team - Apr. 20, 2022

The dress code at Jack in the Box is a uniform that consists of a red t-shirt, black dress pants, and black, slip-resistant shoes. The strictness of the dress code is intended to promote professionalism, workplace safety, and hygiene, especially as it pertains to handling food.

Specifically, all shirts must be tucked in unless a full or half apron is worn. Black pants must fit well, and employees must wear black belts and black socks. All employees are required to wear a hat or visor, and to wear a nametag bearing their legal names on either their shirt or apron.

Black chef coats may be worn untucked; however, they are allowed only in the kitchen, and can only be worn by cooks, fryers, and prep workers.

Jack in the Box also has a strict policy regarding hair for hygiene purposes. Any long hair extending below the collar must be pulled back, either in a tight bun on the back of the head or in a ponytail, if the ponytail is worn above the collar and secured with multiple hair ties.
