Flight Contractors work as independent freelance drone operators for the company's clients. If you are seeking a flight contracting position with the company, you must first download DroneUp's app and fill out an application.

You are then contacted by a representative of the company for your interview. This covers your background and experience working with drones. You are asked about the units you have flown and what type of work was performed when you did so.

If you have video drone experience, you are asked to submit footage of your flights and any completed video projects. You are also asked technical questions about drone operation and safety. In certain states, you have to provide DroneUp with your drone license.

If you pass all of these steps, you are enlisted into the DroneUp Flight Contractor network. Here, you are able to offer your services to DroneUp clients. They may also refer you to clients.

For Prospective Employees, the hiring process is more typical. After submitting your cover letter and resume with your application, a recruiter from DroneUp reaches out to you to schedule your first round of several interviews.

These interviews are conducted by team members, Human Resources, and DroneUp executives.
