What is the hiring process at Epic Systems?

The hiring process at Epic Systems is extensive and consists of a number of interviews and tests. However, if you pass the screening phase, all of your interviews and tests are streamlined on-site and take only a day or so to complete.

You apply for a job at Epic Systems on the company's website. A recruiter then reaches out to you for a phone screening. You may have up to two phone screenings with the recruiter during the process.

After this, you are invited to an Epic Systems location for tests and interviews.

You first must take a proctored company test. If the test goes well, you continue on.

Next, you are shown a demo of the software, go through a few group interviews, a Human Resources interview, and a project-based interview.

Since you spend a day or two on an Epic Systems campus, lunch is provided to you.

• What was the most difficult project you had to complete?

Lastly, here are some scenario-based questions you are asked in your interviews:

• You have a go-live in a week but the physicians are not getting the advanced features they want and are threatening to quit (if they do not get these advanced features). How do you solve the problem?

• How would you handle a situation where a client is about to go live with the product and tells you there is another hospital that the software is not created or tested for and hospital personnel is not trained?

• What would you do if you disagreed with a decision your leader made?

After the interview phase, you enter the final round of the hiring process. This is an Epic Systems coding test.
