What is the hiring process at Kia?

Go to Kia's career website to view open positions and read job descriptions. To apply for a position, you will need to create an account with a username and password to apply for our career opportunities.

During the application process, there's an option to upload your resume, cover letter, and supporting documents such as your work portfolio or references. There are also some questions related to your skills, work eligibility, and geographic mobility. Allow a few weeks for someone at Kia to process your application and reach out to you if they are interested.

Phone Screening

The first step is to undergo one to three phone interviews. The phone screenings are no longer than 20 minutes and are a getting-to-know-you process. Also, anticipate some discussion regarding your salary requirements.

The first round is usually with a recruiter from Kia, followed by the hiring manager or department lead. If that goes well, the recruiter then sends you a link for an assessment test via email.

Assessment

Depending on the position, especially if it's a technical one, you are asked to complete a computer test that covers mathematics, excel, coding, and logic. The assessment test takes around 45 minutes to complete and is tailored to the position that you are applying to.

Interview Sessions:

The onsite interview can take between one to three days to complete and typically includes a series of interviews ranging from one-on-ones, group panels, and presentations. Anticipate questions related to your sales experience, knowledge of Kia's, and some behavioral questions to test your general fit with the company and team.

Common Kia interview questions include:

• What are the top three features that you look for when buying a car?
