What is the hiring process at Micro Center?

The application process will allow you to upload your resume or manually enter your work experience, education history, and any license or certifications you may have. In addition, you will be asked questions related to your skills, behaviors, and motivations.

You should hear back in one to two weeks. If not, you can check the status of your online application. If Micro Center likes your application, they will invite you in for an interview. The interview is usually with the GM.

As part of the interview process, you will be asked to take a computer general knowledge/skill test using one of their computers. *tip: check that everything works before you start the test; it's timed.

There may also be a group interview with multiple candidates if you're applying for a retail position. For a warehouse position, they typically conduct a 30-minute interview and then introduce you to the prospective team. If you're applying for a corporate position, then anticipate an all-day session of interviews.

During the interview, Micro Center will ask you the most basic questions about your motivation, experience, expectations, and attitude to different situations that can happen in the store with the customers or with your colleagues.

Typically they will also ask you two or three basic technical questions, just to make sure that you know something about computers and products they sell at Micro Center. Also, anticipate the usual suspects such as, "why do you want to work at Micro Center?" and "what are your salary expectations?".
