This question is about Peace Corps and Peace Corps jobs.
The hiring process at the Peace Corps is straight-forward, but can have a good deal of scrutiny during the interview phase, as it seeks to make sure you are a serious minded and committed candidate.
You apply to the Peace Corps by filling out an application on their website. There you can browse current openings and pick where you want to serve and what you want to do.
The application takes about an hour to complete. the Peace Corps asks that you also provide a detailed two to five page resume. You may apply to up to three openings every 30 days.
You provide your health history so the Peace Corps can match you with countries that can support your medical needs.
If selected to interview, you then talk to a Peace Corps placement officer about your skills and interests.
Interviews for the Peace Corps are web-based and may be up to an hour long.

If selected, you will receive an invitation to serve. Non-selected candidates will also receive a decision via email.
You then provide additional medical and legal information. You must complete the medical and legal clearance process in order to depart for service.
The Peace Corps Medical team certifies that medical support for your specific needs can be provided.
After this, you submit your passport and visa documentation with provided mailing instructions and complete onboarding tasks online.
Once all of this is complete, you then travel to your country of service directly from your home of record. After arriving, you participate in an orientation for one to two weeks before beginning your assignment.
