There are four basic steps to the hiring process at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen Katz:
Application: Prospective employees are encouraged to explore the Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen Katz careers webpage and get information on the business, culture, and available jobs.
You will be prompted to create an online profile on the careers webpage if you don't already have one. Once you sign up, you will be able to submit your application, then update your profile, apply to jobs, and monitor your application status using the online portal.

Interview: If your skills seem to be a match for the role, you will be contacted to set up a phone interview with the corporate office.
During the phone interview, you will discuss the role in greater detail and get to ask any questions you have regarding the role and/or the company. If you are still interested and the recruitment team feels that you are a good fit, you will move on to the in-person interview.
The in-person interview usually takes place with an attorney at the firm and lasts about 30 minutes. Expect the interview to be very conversational in nature and to focus on your legal thinking abilities. Typical interview questions include:
What is a case or law that you disagree with and why?
What do you know about our company?
Why are you looking to leave your current position or company?
How do you work in a team environment?
How do you handle stress?
Offer: If you are selected for the role, a member of the internal recruitment team will contact you to review the offer letter details, benefits, and more information on your new career at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen Katz.
Onboarding and verification: Once you have accepted an offer, you will be asked to complete forms and start the pre-onboarding process. Depending on the role, you may have to go through a licensure or education verification process. The internal recruitment team member will provide you with more detailed information on these steps.
