What is the McDonald's hierarchy structure?
The McDonald's hierarchy includes positions in the front area, back area, crew trainer, area leader, assistant shift manager, shift manager, assistant manager, store manager, and then the franchisee and corporate positions.
The front area is where the newest workers at McDonald's begin. Once you gain a little seniority, you work in the back area. Then, you can work as a trainer for those new workers as a crew trainer. An area trainer oversees crew trainers and regular crew members.
Then you have assistant shift managers. There is always at least one assistant shift manager working every shift. Along with that, shift managers oversee all the work under them.
Above shift managers are assistant managers who oversee the operations of the business and the workers. Then, you have store managers. This is the highest position of workers at individual McDonald's stores.
Above store managers, there are franchisees and corporate positions. Unlike the lower positions, franchisees and corporate positions visit individual stores but do not spend the entire workday at these stores.
