What is transactional communication?

Transactional communication is a form of communication in which all parties communicating are both senders and receivers of information. Transactional communication can occur with just two parties or within large groups of people.

This type of communication refers to exchanging ideas, arguments, or concepts between two or more people.

Transactional communication is normally also a form of interactive communication in that it occurs between two or more people, and everyone participating in the conversation, or other forms of communication, is both a sender and a receiver of information.
